How to develop a recruiting mindset ~ Part 2 Get a Daily Routine

When you start your day, you need to take your time in the morning to center yourself and get motivated. What I do is taking 30 min in the morning after i wake up to visualize what I want to achieve, do some meditation and concentrate on my different task I have to do that day. You can then go to the gym, or go for a run and get a good breakfast. You need energy to be able to work and get your concentration all day.

Once you have your morning ritual done, you need to focus on Income Producing Activities. That should be your main focus, which are prospecting, setting appointments, inviting, following up, doing some presentation and closing.

You goal setting + Massive Action = Results

The mistake we all do when we start with a new business, or new product, we want to know everything about it. We want to know the science behind the product, the compensation plan scrutinized, ..

Well what you need is to start making money and not putting too much energy on non productive task.

1-  Host a webinar or do a Facebook Live to bring value to your audience with new content. People want to connect with you, don’t stay behind your computer all day ! You have to remember to give at the start of the video and at the end, your call to action which could be your website with your product or your service, or a link for an ebook, ….

2- Follow up is very important by phone or email or now you can use voice messenger. Nowadays, prospects like to hear your voice and they will feel special.

Little stat: 90% of sales occurred because you followed up with someone.

3- You can send automated email using aweber if you want like I do, and then from time to time send a broadcast with a new blog or video or something you want to share with your list. Make it as personal as you can.

4 Sacrifices you have to make to start your business

 When you decide to start a new business, you need to make some sacrifices. Either you are already working full time and try to get your business running and quit your job, or you are a mum-at-home and try to get a business to be more independent. Whatever you are doing right now, and you decide to become your own boss, you need to change your way of living, your routine and don’t underestimate the price you would have to pay before achieving your goals.

Don’t think it in a bad way because as an entrepreneur I would encourage you to become one, as I do to my children. But you have to be aware and ready to do some sacrifices.

  • Social life: If you are serious and plan to start a business, you should be prepared to sacrifice some amount of time normally spend with family and friends. Some of them will be supportive at the start but if you cancel plans to deal with business emergencies, you might find your loved one getting frustrated. So talk to your family, spouse, and close friends and reassure them that it would be for a short period of time and you are doing it for them. Don’t launch a new company during times of great stress or life adjustment because you might feel too overwhelmed… you can wait a little bit longer when you feel ready! People around you will have to understand that you have one priority at that time, and it is to launch your business  !

  • Salary: When you start a new business, you have to remember that you are not going to become rich the next day you leave your job… So think about your financial situation before you take drastic engagement. Talk to your partner/spouse or parents and ask them if they would be ready to help you out for a few months if you don’t have any savings… or if you have some, make sure you give yourself enough time. You need to invest in your education, in your product, and the start up of a company is usually quite expensive. As an entrepreneur myself with my own skincare brand, i needed to pay for the stock, labelling, e-commerce platform, time spent to build the website, etc… I think you see the point. If you’re not prepared to sacrifice your salary for at least a few years, then entrepreneurship may not be for you. As soon as you’ll get some profits, you will need to reinvest in your business to continue growing..
  • Balance: There will be many times when you feel like you are sacrificing your mental sanity. People will call you crazy, obsessed, etc.. and you might lose some friends or family members in the process. Stay away from toxic people and stay focus. But you need some balance in your life, you can’t work 24/7 or you’ll lose your mind, your health. Take some time to go to the gym, do some meditation, eat healthy and take some vitamins. Being on caffeine boost is not going to help. As an entrepreneur you’ll think about your business all the time, you won’t have a day off where you can chill out and forget about everything. While all those long hours are crucial, it’s very common for a start-up entrepreneur to suffer health issue due to sleep deprivation and a lack of medical attention.

  • Limitation: If you are a person who love being in control with everything, you might find some challenges to grow your business; when you have an idea and want to launch something big, you can’t keep everything to yourself and work on your own. You need to get help from others or you’ll lose your mind. Even the hardest workers can only accomplish so many tasks in a single day. Try to surround yourself with like-minded people, share your ideas and they’ll help you if they can or they’ll show you the way to improve and get better. Allocate some tasks to someone more qualified than you so you won’t waste time and get frustrated in the process.

There is a time to make sacrifices and a time to reap the harvest of your labour, so don’t give up on your dreams because hard work pays off.

How to build your business on Facebook?

Today I talk about how to build your business on Facebook. Too many people do the mistakes of posting their business and companies all the time on their profile. Facebook is not a platform where you can sell products, there are e-commerce for that! If they want to buy something, they will go to for example.  People go on Facebook to get entertained or to get value.

You need a strategy, a plan and if you are consistent and follow it, you will be able to get your business right on track!

The first rule on Facebook is that you can’t promote your business on your profile and that is why you have to build your business page. This way, your audience will have the perception that you are an expert. It is the same when you start blogging, or if you have a website.. Your followers will start listening to you and see you as a person of influence. Even if you are just starting, the fact that you bring value and offers, people will see you differently. Be creative with your post, go to the Facebook Audience Insight tool to see your audience and target the right people. See the tutorial HERE

Once you have your Business Page set up, you need to bring enough value to move people from cold to warm to hot market.

Cold market would be people that your are targeting, that would be right for your business but they don’t know you yet.

Warm market would be people that have a notion of what you are doing, that received your offers or have knowledge of your valuable content. They start to get an interest of your service/product but didn’t buy anything from you.

Hot market would be people that already bought something from you. And you certainly want to keep them beside you and have them buying very regularly.

The major mistake that people do when prospecting is that all they think is money and how many people this person can bring into the business. That is why it is Extremely important that you build relationship first with your cold market.  Never ever copy and paste your script. It is so obvious when we just say hi and in seconds we receive a page of information about their business. Don’t send any links until you are sure that your prospect understand what you are doing and what you have to offer. Then ask them if it is ok to send a link.

When people do send links and scripts, it is giving the company you are representing or Network marketing in general a bad name. Most people want to know what is there for them, or how your product or service is going to help them, certainly not receiving a random link.

Once you have build relationship, and your follower agreed to see your links, don’t forget to contact this person and ask if he liked it. It is a way to follow up and see the interest. At that point you’ll be able to judge what will be your next strategy. Maybe this person want only to try the product, or maybe the interest is bigger and this person want to be part of your team and want to make extra income.

You never know when you are connecting with people, Who you might meet.It could be your future business partner, it could be the best recruiter you could have imagined, it could be someone that would become your best friend… Who knows!!

To summarize, don’t use Facebook to sell directly your product or service, but use it to bring value to your audience and  build relationship. You will be surprised how fast you’ll get more followers and be recognized as a person of influence, a leader.

Each time you are in front of people, or ready to get on a phone call or a zoom conference, remember your WHY! Visualize your dream, imagine, live your dream. Then follow these few laws that will help you get more people on board with your business

1- Law of Connection: It’s a powerful law because we only do business with or buy from those we feel a sense of connection with. We buy from people we like, know and trust. Connecting with your prospect is crucial to be able to stay in this business. You need to show authenticity and your true self. Don’t try to be someone else and you’ll attract people suitable for you. Tell your story and bring them to your journey!!

2- Law of Desire: You want to create powerful desire and motivation. While connecting with them, show them the life they could get if they were financially independent.

3- Law of Value and consistency: You want to bring solutions to your prospects challenges. Offer value like trainings, courses, coaching programs,… Be consistent and you will attract the right people to you.

4- Law of Social Proof: Show your prospects some testimonials, case studies, reviews about your product or service. People join an organisation or buy a product because of what people are saying about it.

5- Law of Respect: It will be easier for people to buy something from you if there is some respect. Be recognized as an expert and a person with credibility and transparence – even if you are new in this industry. Share story of others, interviews, quotes, ..

6- Law of Reciprocity: If you provide value without expecting anything, people will want to reciprocate by giving you their business.

7- Law of Scarcity: Always put a time frame, or limited quantity on offer. Or you can also do a special two for the price of one sale.

How to overcome shyness and get more confidence

As an entrepreneur, shyness can be a set back to your growth. It is important you overcome this situation and get more confident, but it is definitely not impossible. It might take you more time to pick up the phone, do videos, or put yourself in front of people, but you can do it if it is what you want!!

If you are an introvert and is afraid of talking to people, make sure you know really well your product/service before you start talking about it. Knowledge is very important because you will be able to answer all the questions and you’ll feel more at ease to talk about it. Confidence is usually what gets in the way. Confidence comes through action, learning, practice, and mastery.

Then one thing you should tell yourself, you are not selling your product/service but you are sharing and because you believe on what you are doing, you share it to help your friend/family or prospect. Give up on the hard sell, make relationship with your prospect before you tell them about what you have to offer. Remember people buy people not companies. Take some chances and put yourself out there to meet new people.

If you want to reconnect with a person you didn’t see or talk to for a while but you know your product/service will benefit them, just talk the truth: “I know we haven’t talk for a long time but I think…..”

A fear of being judged contributes to social anxiety and shyness. The only way to overcome this fear is to make yourself vulnerable. Being vulnerable requires a willingness to let others see the real you. Be proud of who you are. Being genuine and vulnerable is often the quality that others will appreciate the most about you.

Part of overcoming shyness is about developing confidence in several areas of your life and not letting anxiety, fear of failure, fear of rejection, or fear of humiliation get in your way.

How to share your product without offending people?

How to approach someone with your products without offending them or pointing out the obvious problem. If you are in weight loss industry, this is the big question!

How to approach your relatives, or friends or prospects telling them they need to lose weight and your product is going to help them. Same with skin care, you can’t really approach someone and say they look wrinkly or they have blemishes!!!

I am going to give you a few tips that will help you to be more tactful 🙂

1- Share your personal story and that is why it is important that you use your product! Always be the product of the product. People will notice if you use it and they will tell you how well you are…That way it is much easier to share what you have to sell and get customers. Proof is just in front of them!!

2- Share third party stories; If you don’t have a personal story sharing other people ones can be very impactful!! Do the Before and After pictures; gather some testimonials. It helps your prospect to relate better to their own problems and activate emotions and curiosity. Try to use stories about your downline or upline, not the one from the company that is there for everybody to see. Your prospects don’t want to see the figures and benefits… Find a way to say it without being boring.

3- Talk about your product saying you are using it and ask a question that can be an open conversation. For example, you are using a new facial product and you find it great, ask your prospect what they use and what they like about it, then talk about yours… Always start with a question, this way you’ll understand better their needs and it will be easier to share your product. Don’t be abrupt and rude… you will only push away your prospect!

4- Once you have a few people using your products, create a group if you are on Facebook and tell your people to put their own testimonials, and pictures. This way when you get prospect, you can easily add them to the group and they will see all the great stories

It is very important that you put yourself in front of the right people that are seeking the benefits of your product…

What you need to know to become an entrepreneur

Becoming an entrepreneur is not an easy path for a lot of people. Some would prefer to be doing a 9-5 job and have nothing to think about or do after these hours. As I always say, everybody is different and has different perspective. However if you want to be an entrepreneur and a successful one, you need to change attitude and mindset. It can be challenging, overwhelming and also questionable at times.

1- As the start, you need to set your goals – long term and small term –  but also you need to know the WHY that drives you to become an entrepreneur. This Why will be the flames that will keep you focus when you’ll be doubting about yourself or when you’ll want to quit. Create a business plan – realistic- with knowledge of your niche/people you want to target and choose wisely the company you want to work with.

2- You need to be strong in your mindset; you’ll find some people very nasty and you have to feel like telling them “I don’t care”. Also make yourself strong enough that you can deal with failure, disappointment and frustration. Your resilience will define the ability to recover from setbacks. If you are too sensitive, emotional you will quit at the first challenge. Be ready to get out of your comfort zone,

3- Discipline and consistency; as an entrepreneur, you absolutely need to be consistent. You can’t start something and come back a week after. You need to bring value, everyday. For that you can schedule your posts, your emails, and be present on social media. Facebook live or instagram live are great ways to bring value, it is very easy to use and you can instantly edit it on Facebook, however it disappear when you are finished with instagram. You might need to make some sacrifice also with your family when you’ll need to attend events, or webinars …. Always remember the WHY you started !!

4- You need to make your prospects/team members the ability to feel special; If your team is happy and feel good about what they bring to the society, to the people around them, they will work better and together as a team. You want to reward when they do something great, and the same with your clients, if they feel great around you, they will stay with you and buy from you. People buy people !!

5- Marketing and Training; If you get some training, have a coach you will be able to bring value and duplicate your knowledge. You have to follow a training and structure so you won’t waste time looking at everything and nothing… Educate yourself continually to bring value and when your prospects and team members will see what you achieve they will want to join you/your service. Always post your success !

6- Prospecting; build your list.. I always say it, the money is in your list. Get new people in your list each day !! Pay attention to your list. You want to build relationship with your audience and keep engaging with them. If you advertise on Facebook, or other multimedia, test your images, your texts, and try to find what is working for you, your service or company.

7- Leadership; you need to show authority figure and influence. You have to inspire your team members all the time and encourage them.To be successful you have to convince your followers, not yourself or your superiors, that you are worthy of being followed. Communication and team building is very important so you can show duplication which will bring a consistent revenue.

In summary, work hard but smart – be creative – duplicate and build the right team.. and don’t give up !!

Tips to reach more Followers on Instagram

Instagram has now 600 Millions Users and is the second platform after Facebook. If you want to know more about how to get followers or want to start, here are some insights that might help you being an expert on Instagram and reach the right followers.

I really like Instagram because there is a lot of engagement and if you give the right content, you can grow your followers really fast.

The advantage with Instagram, is that you don’t need to spend hours, very simple and convenient. If you put effort into it, you definitely get some results.

How to do your bio for maximum impact and get followers?

  • Use emoji
  • Call to Action should be your free offer directed to a capture page
  • Always put your website or blog or ecommerce on your bio but not on the clickable link

Once your bio is well done and catchy with the proper Call to Action, you are going to post at least once a day. It is the same as the other platform, you need consistency to make sure you reach your maximum prospects. Use insights view to see Who is following you.

If you just start using instagram, you would need to get a few posts done to see in your insights where are your followers, age group, gender, best time to post and day – click on  and you will be able to manage more your followers and your posts.

  • Lumyer (free) : photo video editor and cool selfie effect – that can be used to send to your Instagram accounts, Facebook, WhatsApp, etc…
  • Word Swag ( I paid $4.99, but differs depending where you are): Very useful to have pics already downloaded from pixabay and have your watermark or logo done for you. In two twos, you have a nice, professional picture with a quote and your watermark
  • Giphy Inc (free) : you can search for animation of your choice, or create your own
  • Rip(free):The app allows you to create Canva-like images, but with animated features
  • Hootsuite (free for 3 platforms): you can manage your post and send them to your different platform.
  • Followers (free): With Followers on Instagram, you can see who unfollowed you, who isn’t following you back, who you aren’t following back, and more!

Tips to improve the reach of your Instagram:

  • Know who is your target – go to search, use # to target your audience. You’ll find the right people to connect with
  • Stay consistent – minimum one post a day
  • Post valuable image/video/stories
  • Use hashtags relevant to your business
  • Engage with your followers – reply to each comment
  • Grow your followers daily – like 3-5 posts each day of one prospect, write a comment on one of the post and follow the prospect. This person will follow you back.
  • Thank You Messages to all your followers

You can follow 7500 people but you can get as many followers you want.

Also to find people in your niche, go to search, on top put your specific requirement, then check people, tags or places

There are new features which are Instagram stories and live

  • You can do a Live up to one hour but it is gone straight after you finish your video from your timeline… I would recommend you to do it, it becomes very popular and it is very good for engagement.
  • Stories: It last 24hours and you can send pics, quick tips, lifestyles, alerts for webinars, special promos, inspirational quotes ==>> be creative and  engage with your followers.

How to promote your posts?

Your Instagram business profile has to be set up with your Facebook Business Profile Page. It is very easy to set it up, link them and it does it automatically. Then you can choose when you boost your posts on Facebook if you want it to be also boosted on Instagram.

Same as Facebook with Instagram boost or promoted posts, you have to choose your audience, choose the age group, countries… and pay for it depending how many days you want it to be activated. It is $100 for 30 days or you could do by days or week which would be more expensive.

To choose which post you want to boost, you can see in “view insights” how many people liked it, number of comments, how many people reached, engagement… You can choose also the button you want your followers to use.

Little tips to get more engagements:

  • Put your picture with your logo/watermark up
  • First comment: put the tags you want to use..
  • Second comment: put your engagement, and redirect them to your bio or put your Call to Action
  • Like your image, your comments.. that will bring already some engagement to your profile and boost your Organic Reach with the new Instagram Algorithm.
  • And follow the people you want to become, in your niche… see what they do and do the same … spy, it doesn’t hurt 🙂

How to be successful and duplicate your business

When you start a new project you are very excited about it and you need to share it with your family and friends. But you can’t count on them all the time to get successful in your business; that is why it is important that you get a strong team behind you that would duplicate and get business running !

You need to market online and offline and most importantly, you need to speak to people and do videos. Staying behind your computer won’t work for a long term success. Duplication is key, and having your customers on autoship is also very important if you want to get residual income. You need to build a community and bring value to your people; this way they will love to follow you because they’ll learn something new each day.

I am going to give you some tips to help you duplicate your knowledge to your team

1- Have a training group:

In that group, put videos that will help them understand the concept and train them really well, but you need to do it in a way that they are not too overwhelmed with all the information. This group will be available to your team and they can add new members, prospects. On this group,  put before/after pictures, testimonials, everything your prospect need to start their business and duplicate it.

2- Do a face to face group training:

I usually use zoom, but you could use google hangouts which is free. It is great to interact with your prospects. They can ask you some questions and it is a great way to get to know the prospects of your team members. They will feel more confident if they see you and they will realize you are a real person 🙂

3- Praise people on your group or on your chat meeting:

People like to be praised, it will give them a boost. Don’t focus only on numbers but also on their progress and activities. You could make a picture post with their achievement.

4- A text group, like WhatsApp

Keep it small though, it is easily over crowded and make sure you tell your team members that only questions related to the business are allowed. Tell your leaders to do the same so they can have their own text group

5- Events/travel:

If you are going to events or travelling to places, try to meet your team members. And if you go as a group in an event, try to rent a big house. Team building is the best !!

6- Serious Leader:

If you enroll someone really serious living nearby and you think this person could be a great leader but doesn’t know how to start, try to meet up in person for a weekend. You can show the trainings, the community, and the testimonials. That is a great way to build close connection.

The 4 dangers of Cold Market Recruiting

What is the difference between warm market and cold market?

Warm market:  people you know, which could be friends, relatives and existing customers, even referrals which are customers you got from word of mouth.

Cold market: people that are your future prospects, customers, complete strangers that you might find online or offline. When you recruit, you might feel nervous or get into an awkward conversation. Just think about this person as a long lost friend, listen more and talk less and try to find some things in common. Then the conversation will go smoothly.

When you start in network marketing, the warm market is where you normally start. But once you have done it, it is time to go to cold market. You can use 2 methods:

  • in-person prospecting
  • cold calling purchased leads over the phone

In-person prospecting are connection with strangers you meet on the street, at the restaurant, in a mall and you are trying to get them interested in your business opportunity. You can give some flyers, offer some samples and you have to try your best to get as many names, phone numbers and email addresses to be able to contact them in a later time. Usually it is very rare you get a sale the first time you meet the person but if you gave a good impression, they will remember you when you are going to reach out to them again. It is also people you meet online on a platform like Facebook and you start building relationship with that person. This is cold market online versus cold market offline

Calling purchased leads over the phone are paid leads you got through your company, or through a program. I personally don’t like buying leads, they are usually not quality leads.

To stay in this industry for a long time, you need to have good work ethics. You cannot steal people and recruit them from another organization or group. We are in a small world and you will be caught if you sabotage the business of another fellow entrepreneur. You might recruit some people at the start but then at the long term, you’ll realize you lost respect in your industry by burning all the bridges and damaging influential relationships for the sake of short term returns

Problem #1: Because there’s always lots of rejection online or offline, you might lose your reputation and be known as an opportunist who takes advantage of the people if you steal people from other groups.

You have to think of serving others before you get into any conversation. The way you are going to start the conversation will determine if they’ll want to join your business and work with you. If you have an attitude of selfishness with numbers in your head, you are not going to recruit many people.

Problem #2: Don’t have an agenda-oriented each time you see someone on the street, or in a restaurant. It is not a place you want to live as it can be very draining and it can be seen as very negative. Instead of attracting people you are going to push them away.

Problem #3: It can lead to misunderstanding and alienation if you’re targeting friends of friends, word can “get around” about you.You want to avoid to be the one everybody is going to look at in a strange way because you did something that you shouldn’t have. You will feel withdrawn and isolated from the objective world. You don’t want to “turn off” influencers and leaders in the home business and network marketing niches with your unethical behaviors in groups or forums.

Problem #4: Facebook hates cold market recruiting. Even though Facebook is one of the best platform to recruit online, you have to manage how you do it. You can easily get blamed, reported and Facebook will shut down your profile for a few days. Facebook notices when your links get PM’d over and over and over again, or when they see the same links posted frequently on pages or in groups, they  will keep tabs on how many complaints the link receives. And that is when Facebook might BAN your domain. It is called Spamming groups and forums and YOU SHOULDN’T do it anyway. That is not how you should recruit people.

So you can see if you don’t recruit properly you might end up having more problems than getting leads. Most of the people doing network marketing are actually prospecting (i.e sales) more than they do marketing. That way is a passive, mass market approach.

But Facebook like when we run an ad campaigns so they are not against us marketing our business. But they don’t want us spamming and bothering other people.
