Define and Leverage your target audience

With the number of social network users worldwide at 2.34 Billion today, I am going to show you how you can leverage these statistics at your advantage to reach your target audience.

You’ve got to determine who your target audience is in order to engage with them effectively. Who will benefit your product or service ? What problem are you solving? Does it meet a specific need? Is your brand unique? You need to ask all this questions before you send your information and reach out the best audience. Once you have done that, draw your followers to a funnel to start getting your list.

1- Finding Your Ideal Customer

Imagine the perfect customer and ask these questions:

  • age group you want to target
  • specific demographicbanner-1018105_1920
  • if they have children
  • career
  • interests and hobbies
  • income level
  • specific geographical area

The better you get to know your customers, the more accurately you can serve them, help them to their needs. That way you will get free marketing because they will be your recurring customers that will share their stories. Gather enough information about them through your records; where they live, what quantity they usually purchase, what time of the day they are online, etc…

If you start a new business and don’t know who you are helping, go to Think With Google – source for insights, trends and research in digital marketing –  where you’ll get a lot of information.

2- Target the Right Media

When you have a clear picture of your ideal customer, it is easier to determine where you’ll find your prospects. Do some research to know which platform your audience would be using. For example, if you target women, 76% of women use Facebook versus 66% of men – among top 50 brands’ followers on Instagram, 53% are women. Click on the link above to see very interesting statistics that will help you gather enough information to choose the right platform for your ideal customer. The millennials now are using a lot Snapchat, consider it if you want to reach out to them. 280 Million active YouTube accounts with 54% users are men. If you are selling life insurance, twitter would be the best platform to use because it reaches an older audience .. so do your homework before you send information online because it might be a waste of time and might discourage you to stick with your business.

Consider also the way you are going to send your information, even if your customers are on social media, they use their mobile phone most of the time which means they can’t jump from one application to another one. Avoid to put links which require a different app, they might have it on their desktop but not on their android or iPhone. Use mobile-friendly platform to send your information to make sure your audience will get it.

3- Determine what your customers needs and engage with them

How your product or service can provide a solution to your audience? Is your customer a tech savvy? Is your ideal customer love traveling? Again, ask yourself all this questions to know what type of information you need to send on social media.

If your audience need to build their business online and need to get more leads, the best way to help them is to create an offer with free download in exchange of their email address or subscription on your website. You can also do a blog, a pillar content, an eBook, always ask for an email address that will help you build your list… As you know your list is your income.

Coupons and deals also attract people, so if you have a product, create a post with a price giving or “buy 2 get 1 free”. If you are targeting retired people, sell them in little quantity as they are in low-budget.

Your goal is to get your audience to stay with you, you want to convert your prospect into long-term paying customers. Engage with them all the time and make them feel special !

These are all examples but the basic idea remain:

  • find whom you want to target and serve
  • find the best ways to help them
  • engage with them and make them feel special

What do you need to start a successful business?

4 key points to get ready to start a new successful business and live your passion!!

With the start of the new year, a lot of people decide to change their lives and want to start having their own business. Between wanted to do something and achieving it, it takes a lot of work and most of the time we don’t have enough patience and give up a few month after we started.

I’m going to give you some points and advice so you can prepare yourself and follow-up your dreams !

1- Patience and be passionate !!

Don’t start a new business with the intention of being rich tomorrow.  That is usually the main problem, people join a company and they think they are going to get rich after a month.

richard-branson-follow-your-passion

Usually it starts very well because you have pestered your family and friends to buy the product or join your company and after it fades away and this is when doubt starts kicking!! You need to love what you are doing, like the product. If you believe yourself what you are doing, it will be easier for you to share the information and live your passion.

2-Build your email list

To stay in this industry you need to build your list. Bring content everyday to the platform of your choice, and don’t forget to leave a link or your website each time you are doing a video or writing a post (of course related to business). Leverage your target audience writing  blogs to attract people you want to work with, do some funnels to get email addresses.

3- Envision yourself in your dreams

Plan it, write every single idea on how you are going to develop them in a piece of paper with a yearly goal, 6 months goals, 3 months goals, monthly goals, weekly goals, daily goals… anything that will keep you focus.  Live your dream every single day! No negative self talk when there is a hiccup or a problem… Think as an experience and not a problem.

“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life–think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success” –Swami Vivekananda

4- You have to make a decision.

Once you know exactly which path you want to follow, just don’t stop!! Plan everything, Invest, Learn, Teach. I always say it we are not in a race, take you time to gather the right information, to know exactly which platform you want to use, don’t be all over the place. Plan plan and plan, and stick with it. Talk to your family and close friends once you have made the decision because it will impact everybody.  You might have to stop going to coffee mornings with your friends, or lunches, or you might have to spend time in front of your computer instead of going out with your family. But will it be worth it at the end???

If you got value, leave me comment and I’ll be happy to connect with you

How to deal with prospects on the phone in Network Marketing

When you promote on multi-media with a Capture page, you should have the name, email address and phone number. This way you can ring them, it is extremely important you contact them a few days after they put their details in one of your advertisement.

Entrepreneurs often struggle and get scared when they start doing cold calls. One more time, if you want to grow as an entrepreneur, you need to put yourselves out of your comfort zone!!!

Examples of 5 questions you can ask. It will put you in control of the conversation and positions you as a leader. If you are a specialist, present yourself as such. Don’t hesitate and if needed rehearsed in front of a camera or even with your spouse/partner/friends. Always project energy and enthusiasm

  1. Where are you now?
  2. Where would you rather be?
  3. How will it feel when you get there?
  4. What has been stopping you?
  5. How serious are you?

Once on the phone, don’t be too overwhelmed, you need to keep your posture. Use their first name but never Miss or Mister, this will put you in a position of inferiority. No sale voice also, act as if you talk to someone you already know, that you understand their situations and want top help.

Don’t start saying “How are you today?” or “Are you busy?”  But “I know you are busy but I’ll be brief/ it will take only a few minutes”

entreprenuer-i-m-possibleDon’t assume anything, ask what problem they encounter and give them a solution. Try to find a way to compliment them, if they say something great about their business or even if you saw something on their Facebook profile. Boost their confidence and if you had a previous contact with them, just mention something you talked about before. So the importance to always take notes!!!!

If you need to leave a voicemail, it has to be done under 60 seconds and offer clear value otherwise they will never call you back or when they’ll see your phone number calling again, they won’t answer!

The part we all hate!!! Hostile and aggressive prospects!!

Even if you have someone on the other side of the phone very hostile, you need to keep your posture, your confidence because you know that your product/service is good. You are an expert in your domain and they most of the time don’t know much about what you are doing. You are just on the phone to help them and this situation shouldn’t discourage you, and if they don’t want you help, you know you can help others.

phoneLet the bully rant before you say anything. Silence can be just as intimidating as aggression. By using friendly strength and keeping calm, you can turn the tables. Even if it is not immediate, they might come back to you a month/3 months after.

But don’t beg prospects to join you or you will lose completely your authority figure and this prospect will be gone forever. Always be polite and try to take control of the situation. You could say :”I appreciate that this is the way you feel. Let me clarify a few thing!”

Now it is your turn to give me some of your questions or answers. I would love to hear from you. Comment below and I’ll contact you.

Why your Image is important, First impression matters!

Branding yourself is a must when you start building a business on social media. That is why your image is so important !! Companies come and go…but you are the one thing that will remain stable in the midst of change.

This blog is part 5 out of 7 of the series “7 things that will make a difference in your business”

When promoting on social media, you have to be mindful of the posts. Why?

  • In a few seconds, someone can form an impression on yourself so you want to show the best of you!!
  • Your social media is scrutinized when you are in network marketing, so don’t put any pictures that seemed great at the time but might bring you some trouble in the long term. Or say anything that you might be regretting in the future. That is the reason why I always say that you shouldn’t put any negativity in your posts.
  • Your reputation could be affected if someone share a picture or something and it is splashed everywhere in the media. That is why it is important you get your general account settings, timeline and tagging settings checked. I have my profile on public but I am the only one that can post on my timeline, or see the posts I have been tagged.

Remember, if it’s on the Internet, it could be there forever!

Why it is important to brand yourself?

Personal branding is essentially the ongoing process of establishing a prescribed image or impression in the mind of others. Your skills, your focus will allow them to clearly understand what you’re passionate about. You want your prospects to choose you as the only solution to their problems. You have to be unique and approachable to your audience to get results.

The way you talk and present yourself has a remarkable impact on the people you meet professionally and socially. This is why it is very important you brand yourself and not your company.

Branding demands commitment; commitment to continual re-invention; striking chords with people to stir their emotions; and commitment to imagination. It is easy to be cynical about such things, much harder to be successful.” – Sir Richard Branson

How to brand yourself:

  • Your image: your customers/followers need to know who you are. Put a picture on all your multi-media platform, they will recognize you when you do a video.
  • Use a blog: it is very important to do a blog, and put value on it. A few sentences, a picture, a little video… No need to do a book each time 🙂 , but be consistent.
  • Use social media: establish a presence, my advice at the start of your branding, choose ONE and be an expert. It can be Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest… Whatever you want to start with, be an expert before you want to jump on another one. You need to build relationship with your audience. Make sure your audience see you everyday; if you don’t have time to do a video, put a post, a picture, a quote, a blog post…Make yourself available for help and advice.
  • Maintain your integrity: market yourself with high standards and honesty, if you don’t know something, point your client to someone else, this way they will know your potentials and trust your judgement.
  • Body language also is important: Be yourself!!! Don’t try to impress anyone;  your followers want to be able to relate to someone like you, you might not attract everybody but you will attract the RIGHT audience for YOU.
  • Believe in yourself: You want to send the right message, if you don’t believe in yourself or the company you are representing, it will show.

I hope these helped you to understand why Attraction Marketing is very important and you need to brand yourself and not the company you are representing today.

Leave me a comment !!

Why posture is important for your business?

Today, I am going to talk about posture, and not only the physical posture that is important for your health but also the right posture you need to get when you talk about your business to get credibility in your business and seen as a leader.

This blog is part 4 out of 7 of the series “7 things that will make a difference in your business”

Body language and physical posture

We do spend a lot of time in front of the computer and sitting down. So it is important that you get your screen just in front of you, so higher up your laptop if you can. Also get the right chair and be comfortable.

1- Good posture improves your productivity: you don’t want to spend days going to the physio to fix your back. Proper posture is also associated with other health benefits, like higher levels of energy, lower stress and higher concentration and reduce migraine or headaches.

2- Posture boosts your confidence: your body language and posture will make you more confident. The fact that you open your chest by pushing your shoulders back and lifting your head, you will feel with greater confidence and power.

3- Posture improves communication: some stats suggest that speech only makes up about 20 to 30% of communication. The rest of the information is conveyed non-verbally, by tone of voice, facial expressions, eye-contact, gestures, how we stand, and so on.

Posture and attitude

Your posture is a reflection of your attitude. You should care about others’ perceptions of you, you want to do things the right way, because conscientious people do good work, they report high self-efficacy which show good work performance. Conscientious people are more prone to be reliable, won’t break promises and won’t quit at the first problem.

You need to take this attitude if you want to grow your business. You need to be confident with your company, product and like what you are doing. Your audience will definitely see if you are not passionate with your product/service. Good ethics also have an impact on how well a business performs in the long term.

In our culture today it’s all about “me, me, me”. The reality is that nobody is going to help us unless we do something for them. That is why it is very important you build relationship with your audience/customers before you even talk about your business.

“You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.”– Dale Carnegie

1- Always ask how open your prospect is before you send a link. You don’t want the person to unfriend you on facebook or lose a friend of you because you started pitching him. You want to keep your posture and if the person says no, just reply no big deal and that’s it … move on. You don’t want to be seen as a pushy desperate person.

2- You make the decision: when making an appointment, as a leader you have to give a choice of time, don’t let your audience see you are free all day, all week. It doesn’t reflect on someone busy and growing a business. You need also to make the decision if you think the person is fit to come to your organization or not.

3- Build relationship to be prepared: as you get to know your prospect, get ready to answer all the questions. So do your homework before about the product, the company and what they could see on the internet.. even the bad review. Be Prepared!! This way you won’t lose posture in front of the person and it will show your knowledge as a leader.
4- Surround yourself with positive people: Finding a good balance with your emotions is crucial to being a happy and successful person. One tactic that successfully positive people have is to ignore and reject negative thoughts that enter the mind. If you are in contact with toxic people, try to stay far away from them. Same with negative comment, always take your time to answer – don’t respond straight away, you’ll be emotional and you might answer something that will show the person you lost control, don’t confront someone’s negativity with your own negativity  – so take your time, read a few times out loud and answer with a genuine, polite answer and try to understand why they reacted this way. If you can check the credential of this person and what happened in the past that made this person react this way, try to understand how they feel and validate it.  Always respond with positivity and be true to yourself. They might agree with you afterwards or not.  You can’t force anyone to like you, or like your company. Respect other people opinion, just say what you have to say and move on if you are a pessimist person in front of you. You don’t want to have this kind of person in your team.
As a summary, Posture will  boost productivity, encourage business relationships, motivate others and present transcription business ideas with an impact.
Cheers

How to overcome fear of the camera

5 Easy Steps to overcome your fear of the camera

One of the best way to get recognized as an authority figure in your line of business is doing videos, can be live or not but your audience can relate to you better if they see you. So IT IS A MUST !!

As you might know, english is not my mother tongue and at the start it was very difficult to do videos for various reasons but mostly the accent, I hated my accent and I felt I was always looking for my words. But I overcame my fear and so will you!!!

So, relax before you go in front of the camera, and for that you can do 5- 10 minutes of meditation. It will definitely calm you and you’ll feel stronger. Have a glass of water, not too many coffees; you don’t want to be wired!! One of my mentor said the first few times she did videos she needed a drink in her so I am not saying you should, but you really need to do videos. So do what it takes to get used to it and I promise you, you’ll get better and better and your business will go through the roof !!!

1- You need to keep it simple. Beside the camera put a note with bullet points. Don’t put too many as you are going to be mixed up and then you’ll have to go over and over the recording and that is a waste of time. Bullet points that’s all you are going to talk about, don’t go through too much details. There is nothing more intimidating than having a page full of notes beside you.

2- Speak from your heart, be yourself. If you are passionate with what you are doing, it shows and you’ll have no problem to pass the message. Your audience need to see your authenticity and they want to know you are real. If you try to be someone you are not, your followers will see it.

3- Keep it short. It is important to do between 1 and 3 min video that is going to be in your blog, because you do blogs for a reason, you want your audience to read it!! It is better to do a few videos than giving too much content. Your audience might lose focus. If you have done a pillar content – collection of articles/posts in one blog – you need to do small videos and create a YouTube playlists that will help you take your viewers on a journey and keep them engaged with your content.

4- Maintain eye contact. Look at the camera without staring, and imagine you are talking to a good friend. Keep your posture and no big movement.

5- No need to be perfect. This is important you don’t get discouraged because you think you are overweight, you don’t have your hair done. Don’t scrutinize every single details of yourself because you are the only one seeing them. Your audience is not looking at the clothes you are wearing but what you have to say!!!

FEAR has two meanings:

Forget Everything And Run

or

Face Everything And Rise

The choice is YOURS!

The more you’ll do, the better you’ll become and you won’t be afraid of the camera. You really need to overcome your fear to be able to brand yourself.

Little anecdote; I always plan my day of work and one day I was supposed to do a blog and video, well long story short, my day didn’t go as I planned and it was very late when I realized I didn’t do the video when I was supposed to post the blog. I was tired, I had already taken my shower and put on my… but I knew I couldn’t do it the next day. So I decided to do it on the spot, in my jammys, with my messy hair, no make  up and I didn’t care!!! Well the next morning when I woke up I had 5 new leads… so you see it doesn’t matter what you are wearing, what type of earrings you are wearing, what your audience want to see is you and  hear your content!!!!

I would love to hear one of your story  !!!

4 Sacrifices you have to make to start your business

When you decide to start a new business, you need to make some sacrifices. Either you are already working full time and try to get your business running and quit your job, or you are a mum-at-home and try to get a business to be more independent. Whatever you are doing right now, and you decide to become your own boss, you need to change your way of living, your routine and don’t underestimate the price you would have to pay before achieving your goals.

Don’t think it in a bad way because as an entrepreneur I would encourage you to become one, as I do to my children. But you have to be aware and ready to do some sacrifices.

This blog is part 2 out of 7 of the series “7 things that will make a difference in your business”

  • Social life: If you are serious and plan to start a business, you should be prepared to sacrifice some amount of time normally spend with family and friends. Some of them will be supportive at the start but if you cancel plans to deal with business emergencies, you might find your loved one getting frustrated. So talk to your family, spouse, and close friends and reassure them that it would be for a short period of time and you are doing it for them. Don’t launch a new company during times of great stress or life adjustment because you might feel too overwhelmed… you can wait a little bit longer when you feel ready! People around you will have to understand that you have one priority at that time, and it is to launch your business  !

  • Salary: When you start a new business, you have to remember that you are not going to become rich the next day you leave your job… So think about your financial situation before you take drastic engagement. Talk to your partner/spouse or parents and ask them if they would be ready to help you out for a few months if you don’t have any savings… or if you have some, make sure you give yourself enough time. You need to invest in your education, in your product, and the start up of a company is usually quite expensive. As an entrepreneur myself with my own skincare brand, i needed to pay for the stock, labelling, e-commerce platform, time spent to build the website, etc… I think you see the point. If you’re not prepared to sacrifice your salary for at least a few years, then entrepreneurship may not be for you. As soon as you’ll get some profits, you will need to reinvest in your business to continue growing..
  • Balance: There will be many times when you feel like you are sacrificing your mental sanity. People will call you crazy, obsessed, etc.. and you might lose some friends or family members in the process. Stay away from toxic people and stay focus. But you need some balance in your life, you can’t work 24/7 or you’ll lose your mind, your health. Take some time to go to the gym, do some meditation, eat healthy and take some vitamins. Being on caffeine boost is not going to help. As an entrepreneur you’ll think about your business all the time, you won’t have a day off where you can chill out and forget about everything. While all those long hours are crucial, it’s very common for a start-up entrepreneur to suffer health issue due to sleep deprivation and a lack of medical attention.

“The consistency in your person from home to work is vitally important so that you are in total balance at all times. Being out of balance means that your true self will start to be confused with what you pretend to be.” Catherine Pulsifer

  • Limitation: If you are a person who love being in control with everything, you might find some challenges to grow your business; when you have an idea and want to launch something big, you can’t keep everything to yourself and work on your own. You need to get help from others or you’ll lose your mind. Even the hardest workers can only accomplish so many tasks in a single day. Try to surround yourself with like-minded people, share your ideas and they’ll help you if they can or they’ll show you the way to improve and get better. Allocate some tasks to someone more qualified than you so you won’t waste time and get frustrated in the process.

There is a time to make sacrifices and a time to reap the harvest of your labour, so don’t give up on your dreams because hard work pays off.

Hope this will help you stay focus in your business, if you have any other tips, would love to hear. Leave me a comment!

Cheers

10 ways of commitment in business

When you start a new business, a new relationship, a new hobby,… you cannot assume it is going to be a few months commitment. You need to see it as a 2 to 5 years business commitment, and no matter what happened if you have a good plan and it is well prepared, never ever give up. Keep working hard and you’ll be rewarded!

This blog is part 1/7 of the series “7 things that will make a difference in your business”

Here are the 10 points you have to follow to keep your motivation and commit to any new business/relationship:

  • See the positive on each action: Focus on solutions and not on the problems. Allow no space in your mind for negative thoughts. Keep positive at all times
  • Risk taken: Don’t let your fear become a barrier in your career. To be successful you need to take risks and start getting out of your comfort zone. View each “no” or challenges as a motivator and opportunity to become a better entrepreneur.
  • Work hard: Think and trust that your hard work will generate profits. It won’t be done in a month, or 4 or 5 but eventually your hard work will pay off. Focus on your goals every single day and do the work. You will get rewarded and money will come
  • Visualize: don’t set small goals and stop once you achieved them. Think BIG! At the start plan small goals, reward yourself when you reach them but don’t stop at it… move to a higher goal until you achieve your dream goal. Commit your thoughts to anticipating more achievement.
  • Be consistent: You need to be consistent, patient and flexible to climb the ladder of success. Even if you are not reaping the benefits right away work hard and don’t let anything or anyone doubt you!
  • Be passionate: passion is the fuel that ignites your desire to work hard. When you are passionate you fear no limits and work harder and your audience feel your passion and will automatically follow you.

  • Respect: Maintain your self-respect and respect also people you work with. Be grateful and do your daily routine to stay focus and keep your motivation and your “WHY”. When you tell your audience/followers you are going to do something, follow up. Don’t think you are going to do it tomorrow… today is the day!
  • Keep things in balance: you need to delegate some tasks or turn to people who have more time, more qualified for the task. You cannot do everything yourself!! If you spend too much time on a task that can easily be done by someone, don’t hesitate to delegate.
  • Relationship: you need to nurture your relation with people around you. Decide wisely who you want to work with, choose like-minded people and stay away from toxic people. When you meet the right partner, talk about your vision, your passion and your goals. You would be surprised how you can meet your best customer, your best follower, your best partner.
  • Feedback: Don’t believe as if you know everything. Each feedback, training, critics is a step forward to your goals. Keep an open mind and make new decisions if needed. To grow your business your have to grow yourself, your self development. Be open to new opportunities.

Hope this will help you stay focus in your business, if you have any other tips, would love to hear. Leave me a comment!

Cheers
