The primary difference between hemp and marijuana isn’t in the amount of all cannabinoids in a plant. It’s the amount of THC in the plant. CBD (cannabidiol) and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) are the most common cannabinoids found in cannabis products. THC and CBD are in both marijuana and hemp. Marijuana contains much more THC than hemp, while hemp has a lot of CBD.

Hemp is a term used to classify the varieties of cannabis that contains 0.3% or less THC. With hemp you can produce:
- Food – hemp seeds and the oil.
- Building materials
- Bio fuel
- Fibre
- Paper
- Soil purifications
- Cordage
- Body care products
Hemp seeds are a source of vegetarian/vegan protein. Hemp also has another multimillion-dollar application: CBD.
Marijuana is a term used to classify the varieties of cannabis that contains more than 0.3% THC. THC is the hallucinogen compound to get HIGH. Marijuana is used for entertainment and recreational purposes but also for medecine psychoactive.
Hemp is a female and produces seeds while Marijuana is a male and produces buds and flowers.
If marijuana is in a closed environment it won’t produce seeds. If you have a male and female plant in close range the pollen of the male, hemp will get in contact with the female, marijuana and it will produce seeds. These seeds cannot be smoked, people only smoke the flower or bud.
Here is a Facebook live I did, where you can see the different plants
Once you have seeds, you don’t know if the plant will be a Male or Female. Its a 50 50 percent chance. Once you plant the seed you have to wait about 4 weeks in a perfect environment of sunlight and water to know whether it’ll be male or female.
The female, marijuana will take another 4 weeks to produce the flower, you will have to wait 2 more weeks to smoke it because it needs to dry and cure. To have good weed, you should have your plant in the correct light and temperature.
The male, hemp is less maintenance, you just let the plant grow, it is taller and skinnier than their marijuana counterparts.
Under US federal law, CBD derived from hemp is legal, while CBD derived from marijuana is not, despite the fact that hemp and marijuana are the same plant. Chemically, CBD extracted from hemp is exactly the same as CBD from marijuana plants.
HempWorx products are made from industrial hemp plants grown on American farms. Cannabidiol (CBD), a constituent that naturally occurs in industrial Hemp, is just one of over 85 cannabinoids that is identified in the cannabis plant. Our oil is CO2 extracted resulting in a solvent free, pure product.
