CBD oil for Seizures and Epilepsy

The reason CBD and other hemp-derived compounds works well for so many conditions, is the endocannabinoid system, a central component of the health and healing of every human and almost every animal.

The Endocannabinoid system is a central regulatory system that affects a wide range of biological processes like our immune system, nervous system, and all of the body’s organs. CBD helps bring your entire body back into balance, not just one single area like most supplements.

Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that disrupts electrical communication between neurons in the brain. Considered a spectrum disorder, different epilepsy syndromes are defined by clusters of symptoms or features and treated accordingly.

Dravet syndrome is a severe childhood-onset epilepsy that causes multiple kinds of seizures, developmental delays, speech and language problems, behavioral issues and movement and balance problems

A study recently revealed by the American Epilepsy Society (AES) has discovered that a cannabis derivative can be efficient in combating Epileptic Seizures, with the substance exhibiting severe efficacy in dealing with the condition within kids.

Rationale: The ongoing Alabama Cannabidiol (CBD) Study has provided evidence that CBD is associated with better seizure outcomes for some patients with intractable epilepsy. However, whether these improved outcomes extend to psychosocial correlates or patient-perceived health remains unclear. The aim of this study is to examine how indicators measuring social support, social stressors, and self-rated health changed for patients over their first year in the study. Methods: Comprehensive demograph…

It has now been clinically proven that the use of CBD oil is remarkably effective in alleviating the symptoms of epilepsy and taking the seizures under control not only in terms of intensity but also in frequency. The impact that CBD oil has to offer against epilepsy is a groundbreaking research. It is important to mention however, that the exact mechanism that is followed by cannabidiol to help and alleviate the epileptic symptoms is still under research.

It has not been long since the interest in cannabidiol as a potential cure for epilepsy and other neurological disorders started to build up and with more positive results CBD oil is definitely getting more and more interest. One of the reason is that there are no negative side effects over long and short time.

The FDA has already approved human trials specifically on epileptic children in order to study the role of CBD oil in curing epilepsy in a more specific fashion and government is considering using medical cannabis oil to help six-year-old with severe epilepsy ( See this heartbreaking article HERE)

“After 3,800 years of cannabis use for epilepsy … we finally have solid evidence,” said Dr. Orrin Devinsky, lead author of the study and director of NYU Langone’s Comprehensive Epilepsy Center.

ONE POWERFUL TESTIMONIAL, TO SEE MORE GO HERE

I started taking HempWorx CBD Oil to combat seizures, but I didn’t realize what an AMAZING sleep aid it is as well. So today I start seeing the “lights” it’s my indicator of an oncoming seizure. Just before the point of blacking out I decided to take a dose of CBD Oil. As soon as it hit the floor of my mouth under my tongue the lights completely disappeared, saving me from experiencing yet another seizure! I proudly and thankfully stand by this product 100%!

FACTS ABOUT CBD FROM HEMP

3 Useful Facts about CBD from Hemp:

1. CBD products made from hemp contain very low levels of THC
One of the concerns people have about using CBD products is that they’re related to cannabis. They assume that hemp contains high levels of THC just like marijuana cannabis; however, this is not the case at all.

Where your average medical marijuana cannabis plant will produce flowers containing THC levels of 14-18%, hemp plants contain very little THC at all. The average content of THC in hemp is between .05 and 1%. Hemp has also been shown to contain more CBD then the typical cannabis plant.

2. CBD products made from hemp are legal in 50 states
CBD extracted from hemp is advantageous to people living in states that have made it illegal to consume CBD products derived from cannabis. Because most CBD products that have been derived from hemp contain THC levels less then .03%, they’re legal to consume anywhere. This means that people living in states that have not approved medical marijuana use, can still benefit from the soothing properties found in CBD.

3. CBD from hemp can’t get you high
Because of the extremely low THC content found in CBD products made from hemp, there is no way they can produce any of the psychoactive effects associated with cannabis use. Simply put, CBD from hemp can’t get you high. And, if you’re required to take a drug test (as many professionals are these days), using hemp-derived CBD products won’t make you test positive.
